Our Story

Stéphane, the founder of Gold Fins Swimming, has had a passion for swimming since his childhood and he started his first swimming lesson at 7 years old. Stéphane was invited to join a competitive club at only 9 years old in Mauritius, where he was born and raised and since then has participated and won numerous national championships competitions. Stéphane travelled to Reunion Island (Part of France Republic) as well as South Africa where he has broken national swimming records in 50m Breaststroke, 100m Breaststroke, 200m Breaststroke and 200m Medley.

Stéphane’s passion for swimming and having two young children of his own has inspired him to open a swimming school where the children and adults will get quality swimming lessons. His aim is to  inspire the next generation and pass on his love for swimming to both children and adults.

As a busy parent and a fitness enthusiast, Stéphane understands how parents struggle to find time to keep fit. So as part of the swim school, he would like to  give parents the opportunity to exercise by joining his evening group swimming sessions with a structured programme created by himself to help them achieve their individual fitness goal and mental wellbeing.

Stéphane believes in giving back and has participated in multiple charity events. Follow his Facebook page where his daughter Hailey and himself will raise funds in Swimathon for Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie in May 2023.
