Safeguarding Policy

We are dedicated to fostering a safe and positive environment where all children and young individuals can participate in lessons. We have adopted the STA Safeguarding Policy and ensure that all of our team complete the NSPCC course for safeguarding children and young people in sport.

To prioritize safeguarding for all our swimmers, we will:

  • Acknowledge that every child, irrespective of age, gender, race, religion, ability, or disability, deserves to enjoy lessons in a safe environment and be shielded from harm.

  • Ensure that all team members undergo proper training, background checks, and adhere to necessary safeguarding practices.

  • Provide team members with appropriate training, codes of conduct, and best practices to follow.

  • Guarantee that all team members offer a positive, safe, and enjoyable experience for all children.

  • Handle all child safeguarding matters, including concerns about child welfare or protection, in accordance with our guidelines and procedures.

  • Offer team members a secure and confidential channel to voice concerns about a child's welfare.

  • Maintain confidentiality appropriately and in the child's best interests.

  • Keep all documents related to child safeguarding securely stored.
